Mr. John Oscar Juma is the founding Partner with J.O. Juma & Co. Advocates.
He is a Commissioner for Oaths, a Notary Public , a Patent Agent and a Certified Public Secretary under the Institute of Certified Public Secretaries of Kenya (ICPSK).

Juma has 17 years of expansive legal experience in civil and commercial litigation. He is a member of the Continuous Legal Education Committee of the Law Society of Kenya where he actively participates in training members of the Law Society of Kenya for purposes of attaining the mandatory qualifications for acquisition of annual practicing certificates under the continuous professional development program.

He has represented both individual and corporate clients in Conveyancing, dispute resolution, provision of advisory services as well as representation during negotiation and dispute settlement.

His other skills include information technology which he utilizes to carry out internet research for the firm. He has represented the firm in various fora including a presentation to representatives of the Flower Industry in Kenya on the law on insurance and handling of workman compensation issues from claim level all the way to litigation.

Juma also handles commercial recoveries, intellectual property, contract documentation, company formation, property owner and tenant matters, conveyancing of property, charges, debenture, mortgages and other security documentation. He demonstrates extensive experience in office management, which he has acquired primarily from various professional courses attended, as well as day to day office responsibilities.

In May 2010 Mr. Juma was appointed a member of the Board of The Nairobi City Water & Sewerage Company Limited to serve for a period of three years as a representative of The Law Society of Kenya(though the appointment was later revoked by the line minister in line with new regulations passed by the Ministry).

An alumni of the prestigious Starehe Boys Centre and School, Mr. Juma is a lead consultant for various organizations and government parastatals.

Mr. Juma has attended various courses and seminars on Leadership and Team building, ICT, Intellectual Property, Procurement, Professional Ethics, Insurance, and International Trade.
